Why?
Start with a cage containing five monkeys. Inside the cage, hang a banana on a string and place a set of stairs under it. Before long, a monkey will go to the stairs and start to climb towards the banana. As soon as he touches the stairs, spray all of the monkeys with cold water After a while, another monkey makes an attempt with the same result - all the monkeys are sprayed with cold water. In our last news letter we asked you to send us ideas how you 'Feel good, work smart!' We were overwhelmed by the number of reactions, thanks for sending us the tips! On of the tips that we received was the '80/20 Principle' also known as the 'Pareto Principle' or 'The Vital Few and Trivial Many Rule' is very powerful: - the fact that 80% of results flow from 20% of causes - is the one true principle of highly effective people and organisations.
